Poetry as a tool for professional reflection

In 2023, University of Northampton's Learning and Teaching Innovation fund awarded senior lecturer in Education Korrin Smith-Whitehouse funding to carry out a research project, entitled Those who can, write poetry. 


The aim of the research was to assess the effectiveness of poetry as a reflective tool for students on the Learning and Teach

In 2023, University of Northampton's Learning and Teaching Innovation fund awarded senior lecturer in Education Korrin Smith-Whitehouse funding to carry out a research project, entitled Those who can, write poetry. 


The aim of the research was to assess the effectiveness of poetry as a reflective tool for students on the Learning and Teaching BA who were working as Teaching Assistants in schools. 


3 members of the Public Sector Poetry Collective were hired to support the design and delivery of these workshops: Dave Robertson, Laura Lewis- Waters and Lesley Hayes.
